Saturday, 35 supermodels walked down a runway set up in Miami Beach, where a Victoria’s Secret fashion show kicked off, with singer Usher ushering in the event that also celebrated the reopening of the Fontainebleau hotel, which hosted the fashion show.

Among the models chosen to be a symbol for Victoria’s Secret show’s theme „return to glamour,” as the company’s Chief Executing Officer (CEO) Sharen Turney has revealed it to be, were Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima. Klum rose to fame after appearing on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue back in 1998, while her work with Victoria’s Secret established her as one of the most sought after supermodels in the business. As for Adriana Lima, she is a Brazilian model best known as a Victoria's Secret Angel, a role she took up in the year 2000, as well as for her position as a spokesmodel for Maybelline cosmetics.

The 35 supermodels that took over the Miami Beach catwalk showed 68 outfits, including the Black Diamond Fantasy Miracle Bra that was designed by jeweler Martin Katz. The piece, spangled with white and black diamonds and rubies, is estimated at $5 million and was worn during the fashion show by the aforementioned Lima.

Other pieces presented included designs from the Pink collection, which features teenage-targeted lingerie, loungewear and sleepwear, Swarovski crystals decorated bras, a gold sculpted feather body piece and a knitted catsuit accessorized with a lacquer belt and Pierre Hardy designed boots.

German-American model Heidi Klum closed Victoria’s Secret fashion show by walking onto the runway wearing a red bra and red underwear, along with a pair of flashy red angel wings made by designer Martin Izquierdo.
