Actor Verne Troyer, who turned his dwarfism into an opportunity with his successful acting career, has managed to block the release of a sex tape made of him and his former girlfriend Renae Shrider. Troyer alleges that somebody stole the sex tape from his home, but it's unclear how that happened.

U.S. District Judge Philip S. Gutierrez issued a temporary restraining order against TMZ and any other website which has showed or might show the 50-minute homemade porn. The suit also targets promoter Kevin Blatt and SugarDVD, an online distributor of adult films, which are apparently involved in making the tape public.

Blatt apparently wanted to sell the tape for $100K to Sugar-DVD. The latter said the tape is "one of the most shocking and controversial celebrity sex tapes" and alleged it would not release it unless Troyer agrees. Kevin Blatt was also responsible for the distribution of Paris Hilton’s sex tape.

Verne Troyer wants $20 million in damages from the parties for posting and broadcasting portions of the tape the actor made with the former girlfriend, alleging it was never meant to be shown in public.

Troyer, 39, was briefly married by super hot celebrity yoga teacher and swimwear/lingerie model, Genevieve Gallen, in 2004. However, he filed for annulment within days. Although he is best known for his performance as the character of Mini-Me in the Austin Powers movies, Troyer played in several other films and commercials.

Troyer, who is 2 ft 8 in tall, was featured in an Apple commercial alongside NBA star Yao Ming, who is 7 ft 6 in tall. He also appeared in commercials for GEICO and World of Warcraft.
