There is a possibility to see Dakota Fanning with vampire fangs soon. According to ExtraTV.com, the 14-year-old star child has reportedly been offered the villainous role of Jane, a very young, yet deadly member of Italy’s Volturi vampire family in the film adaptation of author Stephanie Meyer’s second book, “New Moon."

 

Her character, Jane, serves as the antagonist to the Twilight characters Edward and Bella, embodied by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

The teenage actress is reportedly in talks to play the seductive young Italian vampire without any previous auditions in order for producers to decide whether someone else would be better for this job or not. They thought this was not necessary since the part suits her perfectly. Besides, Fanning is not a stranger to the supernatural movies. At the moment she plays a clairvoyant in the sci-fi thriller “Push” along with Chris Evans and Camilla Belle.

"New Moon" is scheduled to begin filming in Italy this spring.
