Utah Jazz OT Win Over Golden State Warriors

Derek Fisher scored all five of his points in overtime, , sparking the Utah Jazz to a thrilling 127-117 victory over the pesky Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night for a 2-0 lead in their Western Conference semifinal playoff series.

"It's been an unbelievable day, I'm speechless," Fisher said. "My teammates and coach welcomed me with open arms. I appreciate the trust."

Hours before gamer, Fisher’s daughter underwent successful surgery for a rare form of eye cancer. Fisher arrived in Utah midway through the third-quarter. Minutes later, he made an uplifting appearance. "As soon as he got in the arena, he went right to the scorer's table, checked in and played great "D," said teammate Deron Williams. "The one shot he took was a three that was the dagger.

"There's not enough that can be said about what he did tonight. I gave him the player of the game."

The Jazz will travel to Oakland to play the next two games Friday and Sunday in the best of seven series.

"We did a lot of things we wanted to do and did them well enough to win, but unfortunately the lack of the free throw beat us," Warriors coach Don Nelson said. "All we had to do was make them and we didn't do it. In this big game it bit us in the behind."
