As R&B star Usher, 28, and his wife Tameka Foster, 37, tied the knot for the second time this summer, the groom’s mother reportedly did not attend.

Rumored to be responsible for Usher’s initial wedding cancellation in July, Jonetta Patton, who was reportedly against the union, did not attend the latest. However, she did witness her son’s discreet civil ceremony on August 3.

This weekend, the happy couple hosted a second wedding for their friends and family at the luxurious Chateau Elan Winery & Resort, a 16th-century-style French chateau set on 3,500 acres of rolling hills outside Atlanta, People reported.

"I'm thrilled that this is finally happening," a guest who watched the two exchange vows, was quoted by People as saying. "It was a long time coming, and I can't think of any two people who deserve happiness more than they do."

Present at the ceremony were Oprah Winfrey's pal Gayle King and music manager Benny Medina, while Sean "Diddy" Combs, Jermaine Dupri, Janet Jackson and Ashanti were rumored to attend as well.

The nearly 200 guests enjoyed a lavish dinner within the resort’s ballroom completed with a five-tiered white chocolate-covered wedding cake.

"They are in love and they wanted this to be perfect," says another guest of the event. "They had their reasons for not getting married (before), and that's their own business. Now they could get things done the way they wanted to, their family and friends can be here now."

Appearing on Ellen DeGeneres’ show recently, Usher told Ellen he would like his pregnant wife to give birth to a baby boy.

"I think every man wants a son," he said, adding that he would giving him his name, if it’s a boy.

"I'm hoping to name him that. I've been playing with a few names. I'm the fourth. Usher Raymond IV. I just want to pass the name on. Maybe I'll change the middle name," he added.
