After 4 years since the album “Confessions” has hit the
market, Usher releases “Here I Stand”, an album that comes as proof to the fact
that the musician has grown up both as a man and as an artist.
People who loved the bouncing songs on Usher’s last album
and who are waiting for the same thing from “Here I Stand” might not be very
happy with it. The album has a much less macho-clubbing attitude and reveals
Usher embracing family responsibilities, and tasting the joys that come with
it.
The idea that lies in most of the tracks is the artist’s joy
and bewilderment at how his life used to be and how his loved one changed it
for the better. Even the more club-anthem-like track, “Love in This Club” has
Beyonce singing: “I got a man, you got a lady.”
The musician’s family life is present everywhere throughout
the album and his feelings for the loved ones take all forms, from the
hesitation a man who is about to cheat feels, to his desire to do all the small
things that could show his love for his wife. Usher’s commitment to family life
goes even beyond lyrics, with the artist’s baby son being recorded on one of
the tracks.
Usher has married stylist Tameka Foster in a quiet ceremony
in Atlanta on
August 3, 2007. On November 26, the two became the parents of Usher Raymond V.
On his latest album, Usher collaborates with some of the
best known and well appreciated names of the music industry like Beyonce,
Jay-Z, Young Jeezy or Wii.i.am.
