The fascination with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt is
bordering on insanity given that two paparazzi recently sneaked on the couple’s
French estate and attacked bodyguards when they were discovered.
The Jolie-Pitts are currently in France, trying to enjoy some peace
and privacy and their newborn twins’ first weeks on this planet but the
paparazzi seem to be obsessed – what else would possess two grown men to don
camouflage gear and sneak onto the couple’s property?
Reuters reports that the break-in and attack has been
confirmed by the couple’s security chief.
Tony Webb, head of the team guarding the Chateau Miraval
estate where Jolie, Pitt and their six children are currently residing, told
Reuters that two men were discovered on the grounds.
When bodyguards tried to escort off the private property,
the two men went “beserk.”
“We caught the two and tried to escort them off the
property, Webb told Reuters of the incident which occurred Thursday afternoon. “The
guy’s just gone beserk, thrashing out, kicking and actually biting one of the
security people, breaking his finger, drawing blood and screaming that he had
Hepatitis C,” he continued.
The matter soon became police business, as an officer at the
police station in nearby Brignoles village confirmed that an incident involving
paparazzi had taken place. He offered no further details.
Earlier this week, Brad Pitt’s lawyers threatened that they
would take to court anyone who published recently taken photographs of the
actor’s family. A letter published by U.S.
website The Smoking Gun says photographs of
Brad Pitt and his family were taken “surreptitiously” in France and sold
to a buyer.
Should these photographs be published, the Hollywood
superstar is ready to sue the respective publication, as it would violate the
actor’s right to privacy.
Angelina Jolie and newborn twins Vivienne Marcheline and
Knox Leon
left the hospital in Nice only last week. The 33-year-old Academy Award winner
gave birth by caesarean section on July 12, at the Lenval hospital in southern France.
Webb confirmed to Reuters that the couple was willing to
take legal action against photographers intruding their private space with
powerful lenses. “The family are really fed up that these people are
trespassing so we’re going to try to get restraining orders and use the law to
do whatever we have to keep them off the property,” he said.
