Looks like former "Melrose Place" star Heather Locklear isn't doing so well after her four week stint in an Arizona treatment center for "anxiety and depression" as the actress has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence last night in Santa Barbara, TMZ reported.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 47-year-old actress was booked and released later that day on her own recognizance, without having to post bail. While there was not alcohol involved, officers are conducting tests to see if Locklear, who just two months ago checked out of rehab, was under the influence of drugs.
At the time of her release from the treatment center, where she spent four weeks receiving treatment for anxiety and depression, friends of the actress told People magazine she was feeling "really great," and looked "beautiful, just radiant." In March, paramedics responded to Locklear's home after a 911 caller reported the actress was on the verge of a suicide attempt.
However, speculation was rife that the actress' depression was just a cover for being treated for a drug or alcohol problem. Allegedly, Locklear has been quietly battling alcohol on and off for years.
As pointed out by TMZ, the latest turn of events might be raising some new custody issues for Locklear's daughter, Ava, with her ex-husband Richie Sambora, who was busted for DUI in March. He pleaded no contest to DUI charges.
