Wait, there’s more in Britney’s chaotic life! A Las Vegas fashion consultant has filed a lawsuit against the singer claiming she has not been paid for her services in nearly 6 months.
Fashion consultant Nancy Rosu, a resident of Las Vegas, filed a lawsuit in Clark County District Court on Jan. 18, claiming she has not been paid by Britney Spears for her services since last August, the Associated Press reports.
Rohu says she and Spears had been collaborating for nearly a year when the singer stopped paying her last summer. She is asking for more than $50,000, including $40,000 for clothes, damages and court costs.
Rosu alleges that Spears continued to request her services an ask for custom-made items even after she stopped the payments, the AP reports.
Rosu's lawyer, Natricia Tricano, told USA Today: “As a young business owner, my client has been stressed out over keeping everything together. There is over $40,000 of debt, and she just wants to be made whole again.
“I feel there's just a disconnect here. [Spears'] accountant told us the checks were written and that Britney just needs to sign them.”
The same source cites documents filed earlier this month which allege Rosu has been purchasing and sending items for Spears and her two sons since August '06.
Britney’s public appearances over the past several months have not been known to exude a sense of style and elegance and frequently seemed to lack necessary fabric.
However, tastes aside, considering that the 26-year-old has been hospitalized for a second time in less than four weeks in order to undergo a psychiatric examination, it remains to be seen when the frustrated consultant will recover her alleged investment.
Early Thursday morning Spears was taken by ambulance to UCLA Medical Center, escorted by more than a dozen motorcycle officers, two cruisers and two police helicopters. She is expected to remain at the hospital for 72 hours.
Her first emergency hold occurred on Jan. 3, after she refused to hand her two young sons to former husband Kevin Federline at the scheduled time.
