“I was completely freaked out. It was like a nightmare. It
was scary,” the "Kill Bill" star told Manhattan criminal court in the trial of Jack
Jordan, as Reuters reports.
Thurman admitted she was terrified and was very disturbed
by the fact that Jordan
came in so close a contact with her family, even talking to her mother and
brother.
"I felt a stone drop
in my stomach. ... The idea that this had a history made it even more
terrifying," the 38-year-old actress said during the third day of the trial.
"It wasn't just a red herring or a fluke or a bad day.
The fact that he had my parents home number and had arrived at the set and come
back when he was told to leave started to paint a picture much worse than some
isolated moment,” Thurman said, according to New York Post.
The actress is in trial with Jack Jordan who has been
stalking her for the last 2 years sending her family e-mails and creepy
postcards. He also tried to break in her trailer. Jordan is charged with stalking and
aggravated harassment.
On the morning of May 1 she was escorted by court officers
through a side entrance of the state Supreme Court building where she came to
testify. The actress read some lines from the notes Jordan delivered to her on
set, including the part where he wrote that "my hands should be on your
body at all times."
She said that she was always willing to respond to fans but
this was out of control and it had been a nightmare for her.
While Jordan
was looking down and, from time to time, took a glance at the actress, she
never looked at him.
If Jack Jordan is convicted, he could end up in jail for one year.
