“USA Today” Launches iPhone App

The “USA Today” newspaper recently launched an application for Apple Incorporated’s iPhone that enables the gadget’s users access to the latest news, headlines, weather, photos and interactive polls.

The app has been made available for Apple’s iPhone and for the iPod Touch, as well.

The two devices’ users can view articles from the newspaper’s News, Money, Sports, Life, Tech and Travel sections, which they can also share via email, text message or Twitter.

Another option the app gives consumers is to save the articles in order to read them at a later time.

Moreover, “USA Today’s” app for the iPhone features the latest weather conditions, along with up-to-the minute regional radar and a five-day forecast for any location through GPS.

On a related topic, two new applications for the iPhone have been released during recent days, one from Mint.com and the other from HP. The latter, called iPrint Photo, enables users to easily print their photos whenever both a printer and a wireless connection are available.

As for the personal finance app from Mint.com, it allows iPhone users to monitor credit card and bank accounts through their smartphone, also offering them features such as monthly budget, incoming cash flow and expenses and info on investment accounts they have added to the tool.

Furthermore, the app includes alerts, which can let consumers know whether a credit card bill is approaching its due date, if they are spending more money than usual or when large deposits and withdrawals have been registered into their accounts.
