After Paris Hilton’s bedroom was ransacked on Friday, the LAPD has been searching for the burglar who broke into the socialite’s mansion in Mulholland Estates, the gated community near the hills of Sherman Oaks. The police were called at about 5 a.m. by a security guard who reported the robbery.  The burglar was reportedly wearing a hooded sweatshirt, with the hood pulled over the head, and also gloves.

 

Although yesterday the official version was that Hilton’s bedroom was ransacked, today we have an estimate on the damages. It seems that the burglar managed to snatch jewelry worth over $2 million. Both the police and the community’s security force are working on identifying the burglar. Although it was initially stated that the burglar broke in through the door, it now seems that he may have used other means.

 

Paris Hilton is one of the most prominent Golden Girls that America has seen in years. Best known for the fact that she is the heiress of the Hilton empire, the socialite, celebrity and debutante has managed to surpass her condition of “just another spoiled rich girl” and has become a television personality, a model and even started a career in acting and singing, not to mention her own personal Paris empire, with all things Paris, from perfumes to clothing lines, that she supposedly manages on her own.

 

She is one of the few celebrities that served a jail sentence without a peep, although the media coverage of the so-called event was undoubtedly huge. She is also famous for writing and publishing her autobiography, which was mostly tongue-in-cheek, and was called Confessions of an Heiress: A Tongue-in-Chic Peek Behind the Pose, but also a designer diary, Your Heiress Diary: Confess It All to Me.
