The Comic-Con International 2007
has brought an extremely important moment for the fans of the popular “Star
Trek” movies. J.J. Abrams has introduced to them the 11th “Star
Trek” movie’s cast members and the fans have been positively surprised by
seeing together an elder and a younger Spock in the persons of the actor
Leonard Nimoy and Zachary Quinto.
J.J. Abrams, who has been a big
fan of the “Star Trek” series, will direct and co-produce the 11th
movie of the series, which has not yet been given a title. Abrams introduce
Leonard Nimoy to the fans, who have greeted him respectfully. Actor Leonard
Nimoy, 76 years old, has been the one that created the character of the Vulcan
Spock. He will however now join the latest movie, about which he has said that
it will be a great feature.
Leonard Nimoy will be also joined
by a younger Spock, played by the “Heroes” star actor Zachary Quinto. The actor
resembles a lot to Nimoy and both of them have seemed to be perfect for playing
the roles of the strange Vulcan characters.
J.J. Abrams has said to the
public that he is honored to direct and co-produce this 11th “Star
Trek” movie that is loved by lots of people, including him. The director has
also announced that the character of Captain Kirk hasn’t yet been cast, and
that William Shatner, who had played the role in the original TV series, could
possibly have a part in the upcoming movie as well.
The new “Star Trek” movie is to
begin filming in November and it is expected to be released in the next year’s
winter, around the Christmas’ period.
