Two Chestnut Hill men were detained and charged for sexually
assault against two female students in a Boston University
dormitory, according to authorities.
Apparently the two men, neither one a Boston University
student, convinced two residents of the BU dormitory to sign them in early
Sunday, as they didn’t have their IDs on them, BostonHerald.com reports.
According to BU officials, this is against university
policy.
After that, Daniel Glaser, 20, and Aaron Goodliss, 21, went
to the 12th floor and tried every door to see which was unlocked.
Glaser entered in a room while Goodliss waited outside in
the hall. Glaser allegedly groped an 18-year-old student who was sleeping until
she awoke and threw him out.
In the second room, Goodliss stood in the hall while Glaser
tried to climb his way up to a raised bed and groped the woman.
They’ve left the floor, but they were caught by police campus
around 4 a.m.
Glaser, who is attending Lehigh
University in Pennsylvania, was charged with one count of
breaking and entering at night with the intention to commit a felony, two
counts of indecent assault and battery and two counts of unarmed burglary.
Goodliss, a student at Johnson
& Wales University
in Providence,
received charges for breaking and entering at night and also for possession of
a substance.
According to Boston
University police officers,
they’ve found a small amount of marijuana on Goodliss.
They were initially set cash bail of $25,000 by the Assistant
District Attorney Megan O’Rourke, but afterwards Brighton District Court Judge
David T. Donnelly set a lower bail, $7,500 for Glaser and $2,500 for Goodliss.
They were released on bail after they both pleaded not
guilty to the charges.
They are to return next month to Brighton District Court.
Colin Riley, a Boston
University spokesman, said
that the attacks a “reminder that students need to take responsibility for
their guests.”
