Guitar Hero World Tour has just been released and already Activision is receiving tons of complaints from gamers which are disappointed with their game drum kits. The problem seems to be a lack of responsiveness from the device, marking a hard beat with a soft one and even completely malfunctioning. Activision has recognized the issues and stated that it would develop and release a “drum tuning kit” in order for the players to fix themselves these issues. There is no real information referring to these tuning kits and maybe somebody has to remind Activision that the game drum kit is not a real musical instrument.

Activision has stated that the problems were caused by some manufacturing errors and were only common in the “drum kits” made early in the manufacturing stage. The sensitivity issues have been indeed recognized by Activision but some wonder how can a “drum tuning kit” fix even the more serious problems like pads or cymbals that don’t function at all. Activision has also stated that it would try harder to test their products before getting them on the market and that customers should try accessing the Activision Publishing customer support website for more information regarding the problems they might notice in their drum kits.

Guitar Hero World Tour is the fourth entry in the Guitar Hero series and it was released on almost all gaming platforms. This is the first game in this genre to feature a drum kit and microphone besides the regularly used guitar shaped controller. Players can use GHTunes to upload and share their songs or listen to songs that were uploaded by other players.
