Tori Spelling, who is pregnant with her second child, celebrated the release of her new memoir "sTori Telling" and signed autographs at Amalia in New York on Tuesday.
In her book, the former "Beverly Hills, 90210" star the relationship between her parents, her out of control shopping habit, her days on the set of "90210" and how she's come to find her own peace with her life.
For the first time since the death of her father Aaron Spelling, Tori opened up about his final days using the word "affair" regarding her mom’s relationship with family friend, Mark Nathanson.
"People say, 'How can you not know if your mother read your book?'" Tori said. "We don’t talk about anything in my family."
"I hope she learns about me and gets to know me from reading the book,” Tori explained on her website. "I’m someone she’d be proud of as a daughter."
However, becoming a mother (the actress' son, Liam, turns one this week) has helped her understand her mom a bit better.
"I don't know that it's brought us closer," she said, "but I do know how much she loves me."
Following her husband's death in June 2006, Candy denied the affair and said they were just friends.
"That’s her truth to tell," Tori told Access Hollywood. “I did resent it, but she was there for my dad. I did resent Mark’s relationship with our family. He’s no longer in our lives, including our mother’s.”
As far as her financial trouble are concerned, the 34-year-old star admitted she was too proud to ask her father for money, who only left her $800,000, and decided to work her own way out of debt.
"In all honesty," Tori told ABC's "20/20" of her shopping debts, "I grew up a certain way. I never had to worry about money. That was my reality. I would sit and watch my mom order stuff online, or in a catalogue, see a sweater and order it in 10 different colors. I though, 'I have my own money - that's what I should do.'"
