Tori Spelling has officially declared she would reprise her
role as Donna Martin in the CW's "Beverly
Hills, 90210" spin-off.
Last week, Spelling said on “The Billy Bush Show” she was
excited to play Donna’s role again and she also expected the fans of the series
to be excited.
“I think the fans would be really excited to see Donna
Martin back,” Spelling told Bush. “And I’d be excited to play her again. It’s
been a long time.”
According to a press release by The CW, Spelling’s character
will be the owner of one of the coolest stores in Beverly Hills, a hot spot
that will be visited by all the new members of the cast.
Earlier this month, the network announced that Jennie Garth
would be the first original member of the cast that joined the new series,
playing the role that made her famous: Kelly Taylor. Shortly after Garth
confirmed she would star in the new series, Spelling expressed her desire to
also be a part of the show. Like Garth, Spelling will make guest appearances in
the new series, as her character will not be a regular one.
Rob Estes, a star of the popular series “Melrose Place,” has
also been confirmed to play the role of the principal of West Beverly High.
The original show ran for 10 years from 1990 to 2000 and
starred Jason Priestley, Luke Perry, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth and Tori
Spelling.
The debut of the new 90210 is scheduled for fall.
