Tom Cruise has reportedly reached an agreement with Paramount to star in “Mission: Impossible 4”.
The 45-year-old actor made his debut as the secret agent Ethan Hunt in “Mission: Impossible” in 1996, a film which earned its producers $467 million worldwide at the box office.
Tom Cruise, who is married to Katie Holmes, has reportedly made peace with Sumner Redstone, Viacom’s Chief Executive Officer, after falling out when Redstone decided to drop Cruise's production company United Artists Studio from Paramount Pictures.
The two were spotted at the Beverly Hills Hotel a month ago, probably making plans for a fourth film in the successful franchise “Mission Impossible”.
"Tom will make 'Mission Impossible: 4' once Paramount green-lights the script. There will most definitely be another 'Mission: Impossible'!" said a source familiar with the deal according to Monsterandcritics.com.
United Artists Studio, which Cruise manages with Paula Wagner, has produced last year the political thriller “Lions for Lambs,” in which he stared alongside Meryl Streep and Robert Redford.
The news came after Cher, the 61-year-old famous singer, acknowledged during Oprah Winfery’s TV show that she had an affair with Tom Cruise.
The two dated for a couple of months in 1986, right when the actor was making his career start. At that time, Cher was 39 and Cruise 23. The young actor had just finished filming his hit film “Risky Business” and was working on “Top Gun”, according to the Daily Mail.
