Tom Cruise is due to
appear again on Oprah Winfrey's Show, almost three years after a
controversial couch-jumping interview that engendered numerous Youtube parodies
and jokes.
On May 2, Winfrey will interview Tom Cruise from his home in Colorado, regarding "his
family, his life and the future," Harpo production company informed. On
May 5, Cruise will also be invited in Winfrey's studio in Chicago. The show will coincide with the 25th
anniversary of "Risky Business" celebration, which is supposed to include
a re-release of a special edition
DVD.
The Oprah's show on 5th May will also include taped messages
of congratulations from Cruise's celebrity friends, regarding his 25 years as a
big movie star, reads a statement released by Harpo Productions. The episode is
expected to include famous scenes from the movie that made Cruise famous in
1983. At the time, he was involved in a relationship with his co-star in the
movie, Rebecca De Mornay.
In the May 2005 appearance on Winfrey's show, he pretty much shocked Oprah
and her audience, as well as TV viewers, while showing his enthusiasm for his new
love Katie Holmes. His behavior was totally freaky, involving trampoline
hopping on Oprah's couch, crazy laughter and shaking the talk show host.
About a year later, Cruise married the former "Dawson's Creek" actress in November 2006.
Their daughter Suri was born in April 2006.
