Three years after he surprised the audience by jumping up and down on The Oprah Winfrey Show’s sofa, Tom Cruise will return to the worldwide know talk show to mark the 25th anniversary of his 1983 film “Risky Business.”
Cruise’s friends and close colleagues will surprise the 45-year-old actor and film producer with taped messages honoring his work in movies, according to a statement released Thursday by.
In his stop at the talk show three years ago, Cruise made the media wonder about the super star’s mental state after he literarily jumped up and down on the sofa near Oprah while expressing the fact that he was in love with his new girlfriend Katie Holmes, who later became his wife.
The two got married in November after having a daughter on April 2006.
The incident that happened during a 2005 Oprah Winfrey Show was the cause of a lot of jokes and parodies that were made on Cruise’s behalf.
According to the Harpo Productions’ statement, the first part of the show will feature an interview by Winfrey at Cruise’s home in Telluride, Colo. The first part which will cover his “family, his life and the future,” was scheduled for May 2.
For the second part of the talk show scheduled for May 5, Cruise will make an appearance in the show’s Chicago studio, where the audience hopes to see the actor in the middle of another memorable scene.
