Yes, we all know about acrobatic Tom Cruise who jumped on
the couch on “The Oprah Winfrey Show”, 3 years ago. So what? Everyone can get a
little bit carried away once in a while, especially when one’s in love.
“It was just something that I just felt that way, and I feel
that way about her. That's just how I felt,” said Cruise to Oprah Winfrey,
reports BBC. “It was a moment and it was real,” added the “Mission Impossible”
star.
This was the explanation he gave to Oprah, as he came back
for another ‘heart to heart’ talk with her. Only this time the interview took
place at his mountaintop mansion near Telluride, Colorado. It’s a two-part
interview and the second part will be shown Monday.
After Oprah arrived at the Cruise residence, being welcomed
by Cruise and his wife, Katie Holmes, holding hands, Tom walked her through his
mansion, showing his kitchen and his daughter’s Suri miniature office. Oprah
was very impressed.
“Oh, my God. Oh, that is perfect, Tom. Oh, I love a great
kitchen. It's so normal! It's so kitchen-like!"
After the tour, they sat down, this time on Cruise’s couch,
and began their discussion. The actor made it very clear that he would talk
separately about his personal life and his film promotion. He kept his
composure throughout the interview, even when Oprah asked him about the fact
that he blamed actress Brooke Shields when she admitted taking antidepressants
for postpartum depression or when she questioned him about his daughter.
"She really is just magic," said Cruise about
Suri. “There are moments of real joy. Yeah, joy. She's just joy.”
The star also revealed that his relationship with ex-wife Nicole
Kidman was good, and they continued to share joint custody of their two adopted
children.
Regarding his religious beliefs, he said that Scientology’s main
philosophy was “to respect the religious beliefs of others.”
