Looks like Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen were indeed engaged. The pair kept things simple as they wedded in an intimate ceremony held in Los Angeles on Thursday, Usmagazine.com reported.

The New England Patriots quarterback and the Brazilian model said “I do” in a quiet sunset ceremony at a Catholic church in Santa Monica in front of mostly immediate family members, the entertainment magazine reported.

The 28-year-old bride walked down the aisle wearing a form-fitting ivory lace strapless gown with a trumpet skirt, scalloped edges, long train and a floor-length veil with attached handmade satin roses and attached satin headband, all by Dolce & Gabbana, who most recently dressed Fergie for her January nuptials to Josh Duhamel.

The wedding began at dusk, and was “very small and intimate,” a partygoer revealed, and continued with a small gathering at the couple’s Brentwood home.

The guest list included Bundchen’s parents and Brady's son John Edward, with his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan. The model’s three dogs were also in attendance wearing matching Dolce & Gabbana floral lace collars.

A spokesman for the Patriots was unable to immediately confirm that Brady was a married man. But a source for the mag said the story was “1,000 percent true.”

Bundchen once told People magazine she would like her wedding to be “something small, a simple ceremony,” and it looks like she got it right, “I don't like parties, I prefer something more intimate, just for the closest people,” she added.

The first rumors about the couple being engaged emerged late last year saying Brady proposed to Bundchen on Christmas eve while onboard a private jet, but everyone in the pair’s entourage said they were simply rumors. In mid-January, a new series of reports surfaced claiming the NFL superstar presented Bundchen with a diamond solitaire and she accepted his marriage proposal, but no official announcement was ever made.

However, the model later denied the reports in an interview with Brazilian magazine Caras Gi, suggesting people just made the stories up.

Just last week at a charity event in Allston, Brady also claimed he had no immediate wedding plans.

“I am in a great spot in my life. I have a lot of people who care about me that I love being around,” Brady said, “and one of them is my girlfriend.” However, Brady added that “unfortunately” the engagement rumors weren’t true.


Considered the world's highest-paid model, having been the face of Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace and Ralph Lauren, the Brazilian-born beauty met the 31-year-old football player when he was still dating actress Bridget Moynahan. The two started dating around Christmas 2006 after Brady and Moynahan split. Bundchen's previous boyfriend was actor Leonardo Di Caprio.
 
Brady and Moynahan dated for 3 years and shortly after their breakup Bridget confirmed she was pregnant with Brady’s child, just about the same time Tom went public with his relationship with Gisele.
