Everybody would like to know when Tina Fey will be back on "Saturday Night Live," but unfortunately, the Golden Globe-, five time Emmy-, and SAG Award-winning actress couldn’t be clearer about the situation:
"I don't know," she said.
According to a NBC spokesman, the comedian said during a coffee break Tuesday that "SNL" will be on live this Saturday and will air a 9:30 p.m. EDT Thursday edition, but she added she had no idea whether she will be part of the shows, The Associated Press reported.
"I haven't heard."
Until now, Fey has been scheduled for three appearances to impersonate Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin. The comedian had a huge success with the sketches.
Fey reportedly said that she really enjoyed the Palin sketches, but it was a real burden for her considering the amount of work she has to put up with at "30 Rock." Fey is an executive producer, writer and star in the previously-mentioned show.
"Thankfully, the `SNL' schedule is the opposite of the `30 Rock' schedule, so I can go to `SNL' around 10:30 Friday night and rehearse. Then on Saturday, I go in around 4 o'clock," said Fey according to AP.
"30 Rock" begins its third season October 30 and Fey hopes that the success recorded with the Palin impersonation will draw many viewers to the show. Fey’s message for her fans regarding this issue was:
"When people say, `Oh, I love you on your show,' I say, '"Saturday Night Live" isn't my show. But there's another show that will be back on soon, and it's called "30 Rock."'
