MTV plans to reach an even wider audience through a bisexual dating show starring Tila Tequila, a singer/model/actress famous for her MySpace Web page.

Tila Tequila is 25, famous on the Internet, and will soon have her very own show on MTV.

The musical cable channel will air “A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila” starting Oct. 9, according to Television Week.

“Tila Tequila made a name for herself by doing things her way, captivating legions of fans online, both men and women,” said MTV executive Tony DiSanto. “Now she is taking that attitude and sex appeal to her own TV series where she is looking for a mate ... by again, captivating a group of both men and women.”

The entertainer’s MySpace page, very pink, includes nude-ish photos, blog entries and her music.

Tila Tequila, whose real last name is Nguyen, was called by Time magazine “the Madonna of MySpace.”

The show will feature 32 men and women competing against each other for Tila’s affection. The participants will live in Tila’s house and try to impress her throughout the show’s ten episodes.

As the entertainer puts it, “Who will I end up hooking up with? Will I be straight or lesbian in the end?”

The blog entry on Sept. 6 is a lengthy description of Tila’s forthcoming show and her excitement with the project. “My show is about finding true love, because for me....having over 2 million friends is cool but sometimes it makes it hard for me to find someone … whom I can trust and love,” writes Tila.

She adds: “May the better sex win my love!”

In a post scriptum, Tila mentions that her parents will discover through the show that she is bisexual.
