Charlize Theron, one of Hollywood’s most gorgeous blondes, has proven time and time again that she’s much more than just another pretty face. Her acting skills have surprised even the most acerbic critics, her adaptability is remarkable and the way she understands the characters she plays, not to mention the way she brings them to life, is masterful to say the least.
One of the movies that attested to her chameleonic abilities was “Monster”. The movie follows the story of Aileen Wuornos, a female serial killer. What’s striking about the movie is that it is based on a real story, as Aileen Wuornos was a prostitute from Daytona Beach who became one of the first female serial killers in America.
For the part of Aileen, Charlize Theron put on weight and suffered some reversible transformations. For her, acting was clearly more important than her looks – which doesn’t mean that she didn’t return to her lovely figure and angelic face after the movie.
The South African actress has also had the opportunity to work with great actors during last years, among which Will Smith, Viggo Mortensen, Keanu Reeves and Mark Wahlberg. It rumors are true, Tom Cruise is the next male actor to star with the stunning Theron.
It seems that the two might join their acting forces in Bharat Nalluri’s “The Tourist,” a remake of “Anthony Zimmer,” a French Thriller. One of the differences that bode well for Theron and offer her a more challenging role is that in “The Tourist”, her character is an Interpol agent, whereas in “Anthony Zimmer” the same character was just the criminal’s girlfriend.
