Since the iPhone was launched, there has been a continuous
struggle between Apple’s smartphone and the popular business tool Blackberry.
Indeed, some faithful Blackberry users switched to the iPhone. Now, however,
the tables have turned and Apple officials fear their own faithful customers
might run to purchase the T-Mobile G1, a phone powered by Google Android.
Could this be the competitor iPhone feared? Could the Google
Phone overthrow the smartphone king? Even if the iPhone will continue to reign
undefeated, it is certain that the Google handset, T-Mobile G1, will sell like
hot cakes. Some customers went as far as saying that the G1 is more
technologically advanced in comparison with the Apple star-phone.
Also, the
operating system used by the Google Phone has been declared not only superior
to the iPhone’s, but easier to use and compatible with the needs of different
categories of buyers. Furthermore, the Google Phone’s interface is easier to
use and is more user-friendly, saving the buyer the precious time no one can
afford wasting these days.
To better illustrate what the G1 represents to Apple and how
it could easily take over the market (and never let it go), it’s enough to
mention that customers have been pre-ordering the G1 Android phone since August
and the number of preorders is - so far – of a whopping 1.5 million. The
official launch date, as announced by a T-Mobile representatives, is to be
October 22nd.
The G1 will provide 3G services and will come at a starting
price of only $179.99 for loyal T-Mobile customers, for which phones are set
aside if pre-ordered. However, this fight will turn out in the end and no
matter the winner, this winter will truly be the clash of the smartphone titans.
