“The Shield” Enters The Beginning Of Its End More Powerful Than Ever

Everything comes to an end sooner or later. And it’s sooner for FX’s “The Shield.” The seventh and last season of the popular police drama series is due for debut on Tuesday at 10 p.m., so it’s our last chance to see detective Vic Mackey defy every single rule or maybe pay for his past sins.

Michael Chiklis is the lucky one to walk in the shoes of the notorious character. However, the rather lovable persona who mixes both viciousness and lawfulness represents the kind of role that is generally strongly linked to the actor who plays it.

Is Vic Mackey really a threat to the ex-“Daddio” star?

Michael Chiklis says he’s not concerned at all. He explained in a July interview with television critics at the Beverly Hilton Hotel that he would be pleased to be remembered for his “Shield” character. “I think that ‘The Shield,’ hopefully, will become, over time, one of the highlights in a body of work,” Chiklis said.

The final season of the police drama will open with many of the issues left unsolved in the sixth season. The blackmail box is the highlight of the first episodes, as Vic uses it to avoid the very likely loss of his badge and even the loss of his own life. Therefore, Vic and his team use the blackmail box to effectively generate a gang war between the Mexicans and the Armenians.

However, the most mysterious part remains the grand finale of the series. Will the detective get killed? Put behind bars? Will justice ever be made? There’s still a lot to see, so don’t miss the last episodes of “The Shield.”
