Actor Craig Robinson, widely known for playing Daryl Philbin on NBC's "The Office," was arrested and charged with drug possession, TMZ reported Friday.
As reported recently, Robinson, who also starred in "Pineapple Express," was taken into custody in late June for "possession of multitude of drugs," including meth and ecstasy.
He was pulled over by police after committing a traffic violation in Culver City, CA. The drugs were found during a routine check of his vehicle. In addition to the drugs, police also concluded that Robinson was under the influence of amphetamines, cocaine, and cannabinoids, according to a complaint filed by the L.A. County District Attorney’s office.
Since his arrest on June 29, Los Angeles County prosecutors charged the actor with two felony counts of drug possession and one count of being under the influence of illegal drugs.
"I can confirm a Craig Robinson was charged with two felonies, possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor DUI," Lt. Carlos Reynosa of the Culver City Police Department said.
The 36-year-old actor, who is expected in court on August 21, was released on a $10,000 bail hours after the arrest. Robinson's publicist declined comment Friday.
He is most popular for his portrayal of Philbin, a warehouse foreman on "The Office," starring Steve Carell. He also appeared in the comedy film "Pineapple Express" and can next be seen in Kevin Smith's upcoming comedy, "Zack and Miri Make a Porno."
