Forget about Lindsay Lohan for a moment, it's time for her mother Dina and younger sister Ali to shine, as their show, "Living Lohan," will be gracing your living rooms starting this summer, giving you a unique insight into their lives.
E! Entertainment Television has officially announced that they picked up eight episodes of a reality show that will focus on Dina Lohan and her 14-year-old daughter's day-to-day life.
"Viewers will go inside the Lohan’s Long Island home for the first time to follow Dina as she works double duty as mom and manager to help Ali try to follow in her big sister [Lindsay’s] famous footsteps," a press release for the show said.
"Dina has faced intense scrutiny over the past year due to daughter Lindsay's highly publicized mishaps and her long-simmering divorce from her ex-husband," the release explained.
During the unscripted half-hour series, cameras will also be following the duo to Vegas as Ali records an album. "Dina is determined to help each of her four kids fulfill their dreams and refuses to live in fear of what others may think, despite being under the paparazzi microscope."
Most recently, Ali admitted in an interview that she craves fame after growing up in her older sister's shade.
"I want it so bad. So bad you don't even know. And now, it's actually happening," she told Teen Vogue this month. "I grew up watching Lindsay and it made me want to do what she does. Just the whole vibe. Being there, being on camera, or onstage, with everybody listening to you. It's so cool when people look up to you. I've already been asked for my autograph and it's just a really good feeling to have."
The network failed to specify if Lindsay will appear on the show, which might become Ali's major breakthrough, but according to Tuesday's announcement, we'll surely catch a glimpse of her 11-year-old brother Cody and 20-year-old brother Michael, who will be featured on the show.
"The Lohans are one of the most intriguing families in the entertainment industry today. This is a family that knows how to roll with the punches and come out on top. Dina is an incredibly hard-working, passionate mom that I think our viewers will find both relatable and highly entertaining," Lisa Berger, E!'s Executive VP of Series Development, said.
