The Launch Of The New iPhone Approaches

AT&T released a new statement about its upcoming iPhone release, meant to reaffirm the pricing details of the new smartphone.

iPhone enthusiasts will be able to purchase the device at a $199 price tag for the 8 Giga Bytes model and $299 for the 16 GB version. The lauch is set for July 11 and AT&T will be the only carrier offering Apple’s smartphone in the United States.

The $199 price will be accessible only for a special segment of clients, which will have to meet certain requirements. The eligible users, either have purchased an iPhone before July 11, or are currently activating a new customer line with AT&T or are eligible for an upgrade discount.

Another factor for a reduced payment, is the requirement to sign a two year contract.

The people finding themselves outside of the eligibility area, will still be able to buy the device but at a price of $399 for the 8 GB model and $499 for the 16 GB version.

The clients interested in buying the smartphone without a contract, will be able to get it for the wooping amount of $599 for the 8 GB version and $699 for the 16 GB model.

In addition to the amounts presented above, existing customers will also have to pay an activation fee of $18 and new users will pay a $36 tax.

AT&T offers an unlimited $129.99 a month contract or demands a $69.99 monthly fee for 450 anytime minutes and 5,000 night and weekend minutes.

The event represents one of the highest anticipated releases of the summer, as the upgraded iPhone has been expected for quite some time now. Everyone is waiting to see if the device will have the 'star-quality' needed to step in the sales' spot light and win back the ground lost over the last several weeks to its competitors' releases.
