The Jonas Brothers are reportedly set to make their big screen debut. The American band will star in the new movie entitled “Walter the Farting Dog.”

The filming for the new movie is scheduled to start soon, probably early next year. The film is based on the William Kotzwinkle and Glenn Murray’s hit books for children. The main story contained in the books revolves around the problems of a canine with a flatulence problem.

The Jonas Brothers - Kevin, 20, Joe, 19, and Nick, 16 - will play the roles of three musicians whose parents take care of Walter the farting dog before the canine finds a new owner. The Jonas Brothers’ younger 8-year-old brother Frankie will also have a role in the upcoming movie. His character will help Walter rescue an expensive Koi fish and stop jewel thieves.

“Walter the Farting Dog” will reportedly be directed by Peter and Bobby Farrelly, who are known for directing films such as “There's Something About Mary” and “Dumb and Dumber.”

“By the time they’ve driven the dog home, everybody’s head is out the window of the family station wagon but Frankie, and only because he has a serious sinus problem and doesn’t notice the stench coming from Walter,” Peter Farrelly said about the movie, according to Variety.

"It's not just for kids, he is the people's farting dog now, comrade," author Glenn Murray said about the film.

The screenplay is being written by Alec Sokolow and Joel Cohen.
