America’s Golden Couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, arrived early last week in New York. The came here for the premiere of Angelina’s latest movie, Changeling, which showed on Saturday, one of the nights of the New York Film Festival. The movie, directed by Clint Eastwood, is a thriller time-wise situated in the 1920s.
Upon asked, Angelina said she wasn’t nervous to be the center of attention again, but that she will need a bit of time to adjust to it. This is the fist time the couple has been in Manhattan since the birth of Vivienne and Knox, which took place three months ago. Angelina smiled when she said that her whole family was great, while the babies were getting bigger, staying healthy and starting to develop individual personalities.
Angelina Jolie looked as gorgeous as always, wearing a stunning Atelier Versace dress. She had been running around town with her three eldest kids – Zahara, Maddox and Pax Thien – stopping briefly at Lee’s Art Store. Meanwhile, her just-as-gorgeous husband paid a visit to famous photographer Jerry Spagnoli.
The actress’s new movie follows the story of a mother who is told her son was kidnapped. Angelina said she delayed the making of this particular movie for a while now, as she was already overprotective of her children, and a movie based on a subject that frightens her would have enhanced her worst fear: something happening to her kids. The son is returned to Angelina’s character by the LAPD, and all seems well until she starts suspecting that the child handed back to her isn’t her own.
Rumors about her post-natal depression seemed to have vanished as soon as pictures of Angelina with her six children – Zahara, Maddox, Pax Thien, Shiloh and the twins, Vivienne and Knox - hit the magazines and the websites. Another statement that contradicted the rumors was Angelina’s comments about how beneficial breastfeeding is, both for the baby as for the recovery of a woman’s body after giving birth.
