The Entertainment Software
Association announced today that the popular E3 Media and Business Summit would
return in the Los Angeles
Convention Center for
2008. This summer, organizers faced complains related to the event’s location
in Santa Monica and this seems to have made the
Entertainment Software Association to bring the show back to the more
centralized location from Los Angeles.
The E3 Media and Business Summit
represents the world’s biggest annual media event and in 2008 it will take
place July 15 – 17. However, according to ESA head Mike Gallagher, the fact
that the show will be moved back to Los
Angeles Convention Center
for the year to come won’t mean also the return of the great, spectacular trade
show environment that once involved the whole LA Convention Center.
Mike
Gallagher also said that “press events and small meetings” will remain the main
“attractions” of the E3 Media and Business Summit and that the Center’s Kentia
Hall is likely to become the new gaming dreamland where people will be able to
try for free new video games.
The Entertainment Software
Association’s president announced yesterday that next year’s E3 Summit would
also include “industry-shaping panel discussions.”
Other details about this famous Summit will be
forthcoming in the next few months.
