The Bigfoot Hunters Lost Their Credit?

They who called themselves "Bigfoot hunters" claimed they had found the dead body of the legendary Bigfoot and that they have it stored away in a freezer. Therefore a conference was held on Friday in Palo Alto, California, in order to present DNA evidence that sustain the creature’s existence. "DNA evidence and photo evidence of the creature will be presented," said the Bigfoot hunters, in a statement on their Web site.

The hunters are Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer. During the presentation they were helped by Tom Biscardi, presenter of a Bigfoot Internet radio show. Bicardi presented two blurry pictures of the monster.

“They showed me the body. They took me to the area where they found it - -- it took a day and a half to get there. I got to be honest; when I first saw it I hated to see it in that state it was in. I wanted to capture one so the world could see it walking. I guess this is the next best thing for the time being,” said Biscardi.

Biscardi, who promoted a 1995 "discovery" of a Bigfoot body that proved to be fabricated, refused to disclose the location of this year's specimen, which he said was being kept in a deep freeze.

They described the creature as a 7.7 foot male, weighing 550 pounds, with big feet and reddish hair. The pictures could be seen at http://www.bigfoottracker.com .

The two “lucky” hunters told how they stumbled across the corpse while in the woods of northern Georgia, where the monster is thought to live.

Jeffrey Meldrum, a Bigfoot researcher and Idaho State University professor, told the Scientific American "What I've seen so far is not compelling in the least, and I think the pictures cast grave doubts on their claim. It just looks like a costume with some fake guts thrown on top for effect."
