Barbara Walters will present her traditional annual roster of “10 Most Fascinating People” Thursday night on ABC; among this year’s picks are former president Bill Clinton, Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson and David and Victoria Beckham.
Barbara Walters’ list has become a yearly tradition and a decade and a half later, it is still going strong. Thursday night, the veteran journalist will present her unique interviews with ten unique individuals.
Justin Timberlake, formerly of the Mickey Mouse Club and boy band ‘N Sync, who has succeeded on his own, with a burgeoning music career. According to ABC News’ website, the singer will also reveal some details of his love life, particularly about his relationship with actress Jessica Biel.
Soccer superstar David Beckham and his wife Victoria, who reunited this year with 1990s girl group the Spice Girls and is currently on an international reunion tour, were also picked by Barbara for her list.
As was former president Bill Clinton, who may find himself in the unique position of returning to the White House as the husband of the new president, should Hilary Clinton win the elections.
Another fascinating person of 2007 is radio talk show host Don Imus, who was notoriously dismissed by CBS Radio in April after certain comment on the Rutgers University's women's basketball team attracted widespread attention. Imus returned this week with a new contract with New York’s WABC-AM.
MySpace founders Tom Anderson and Chris De Wolfe were also chosen, as were actresses Katherine Heigl and Jennifer Hudson. Heigl is well known for her portrayal of Dr. Izzie Stevens on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and starred in this summer’s box office hit “Knocked Up.” Hudson received an Academy Award for best supporting actress for her role in “Dreamgirls.”
Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez also made the list, which leaves the “Most Fascinating Person” to be revealed tonight.
