“Desperate Housewives” actress Eva Longoria has legally added husband Tony Parker’s last name to her own name, she announced earlier this week.
The petite actress has found yet another subject to attract media attention with, this time dutifully announcing that she has adopted her husband’s last name, thus becoming Eva Longoria Parker.
The 32-year-old told E! News Thursday at the Padres Contra El Cáncer (Parents Against Cancer) annual benefit in Los Angeles: “I completely adopted the new name and I love it ... I'm a Parker now. I love every bit of it ... I like the tradition of changing the name.”
Good for you, Mrs. Parker. As to adding some children to the Parker household, the actress said: “Not for me, and not for Gabrielle,” referring to her Desperate Housewives character.
This bit of information she shared while on the red carpet for Vogue magazine's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Mexico event, on Wednesday.
Longoria and San Antonio Spurs player Tony Parker wed in France in July. Eva has since been very generous with the press, gushing about the honeymoon; her desire to become a mother; teaching the children all three languages she and Parker know between themselves (English, French, Spanish) etc.
In early October, the actress enjoyed a good giggle, so she said, as rumors about a sex tape starring her and Parker began to circulate. The starlet finally set the record straight, explaining that the material was actually the latest spoof on Will Ferrell’s “Funny or Die” website.
“I'm so amused. It's so funny. Oh, my gosh. I've gotten like 100 calls on it saying it's so hilarious,” Eva told Ryan Seacrest during his KIIS-FM radio show. The “Desperate Housewives” actress went on to say that she made the spoof with comedian Perry Hilton, who imitates socialite Paris Hilton.
The sex tape was supposed to star Eva and hubby Tony Parker but, as the actress put it, she and Tony are “very square” and would not film themselves in the bedroom.
Her husband found the skit “freakin’ hilarious,” said Eva. “It's like the non-sex video because we don't have sex. It's so funny. Tony thought it was so freakin' hilarious. But it's a skit.”
