The creators of 'Terminator: Salvation' could not have missed the opportunity to promote their movie at the Comic-Con convention in San Diego.
The movie's director, McG, was there to talk about the film and presented new footage that gave an insight on how the final product might look like.
The latest movie in the Terminator franchise is set in 2018 in a post-apocalyptic desert where humans are fighting against the machines for survival. The terminators, which represent the biggest threat to the survivals of Judgment Day, are the less evolved T600 models, but don't worry, they're still pretty hard to destroy. The T800 and T1000 models have not yet been developed, but McG left people hoping to see Arnold coming back to the franchise.
According to the Associated Press, McG said that "The T-800 model indeed is part of the mythology of Terminator," while at the same tine having a look on his face that could have meant that at least a cameo role for the Governor of California might be prepared.
The footage that was presented showed a lot of explosions, head crushing and, of course, gun fires. While no complicated special effects could be seen, the movie still looked promising, especially considering that it is not in a final stage of production.
As far as the machines that humans will have to fight against are concerned, there are some new ones called Harvesters, Hydrobots and Transporters. It seems that John Connors will still have a hard job at staying alive throughout this movie, while the audiences might well make some time to go see it.
