Take Me Home, Batmobile?

In 1979, musical icon Cher was releasing her thirteenth album, called “Take Me Home.”

In 2008, rumor has it that she might be starring in the next Batman movie-the third of the series-, alongside actor Johnny Depp, playing none other than the Catwoman.

Show-biz press caught wind of this news as a studio executive stated that the 62-year old entertainer is director Christopher Nolan’s first choice, in an attempt to “portray her-Catwoman- like a vamp in her twilight years.”

Moreover, it seems that Nolan intends to put a totally different spin on this character, as it is expected-according to the same studio executive quoted in The Telegraph- that “the new Catwoman will be the absolute opposite of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry's purring creations."

Temporarily entitled “The Caped Crusader,” Batman 3 is set to be filmed starting early next year, in Vancouver. And there’s quite a struggle for fame and recognition in store for it, since it is the sequel to this summer’s blockbuster, Batman 2 - “The Dark Knight.”

Starring Christian Bale and late actor Heath Ledger, whose exquisite portrayal of the Joker is expected to bring the movie an Oscar nomination, “The Dark Knight” managed to raise the bar really high.

And although Nolan, Christian Bale-who plays Batman-and Johnny Depp (playing the role of The Riddler) may be up for the challenge, there is no telling how or even if Cher can cope with an audience displaying great expectations. She might get whipped out of her boots on this one.
