Suspect In Kansas Killings Caught

Police in Kansas City, Kan. Said that the man wanted in the shooting of his wife and her infant was found and arrested at a North Texas motel.

Andrew Anthony Guerrero was declared a person of interest in the killings after it was discovered that young Seth Guerrero, 3, was missing.

According to the Amber Alert web site, it was believed that the 23-year-old Hispanic was heading to Mexico together with the boy.

His wife Nicolette Lyons-Reed and her 8-month-old daughter, Leah Lyons-Reed were found shot to death around 11 a.m. on Sunday by police when they’ve received a call to go to their home.

Officers discovered that two cars were missing from home, but one was found a few blocks away. The 2004 silver Saturn was found with the tags switched while the 2004 four-door Nissan truck was still missing.

An Amber Alert was launched Sunday night for the missing boy by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The boy, Seth, was found at a hotel in Denton, Texas along with his father, Guerrero.

The two were found at a motel near Interstate 35, 35 miles northwest of Dallas around 8:30 a.m.

Guerrero was arrested and the boy was safe.

Police followed the trail of a description of Guerrero’s truck reported at the motel around 10:45 p.m. Sunday. Police stayed there all night until the man got out of his room when they’ve detained him.

Neighbors said about Nicolette Lyons-Reed that she had lived in the area for two years and that she worked at the library.
