Susan Lucci was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars after performing on Monday night on the seventh week of the competition. The "All My Children" actress and her partner, professional dancer Tony Dovolani, got the boot Wednesday from the ABC show. The judges weren’t very impressed by the pair’s paso doble and they gave the two the lowest score - 24 out of a possible 30. After the score was combined with the viewers’ vote the two were eliminated.
Nevertheless, the sacrifices she made to participate in this competition - coast-to-coast commuting, injury and illness – didn’t discourage her.
"It was definitely worth it," said Lucci after being eliminated. "I just have to say, I have had the most incredible experience here. I leave with a life experience, something I will never forget. I feel so, so much gratitude for the opportunity to have had this particular experience in my lifetime."
On Monday, the show was a bit different. The dancers were split in two groups. Lucci was the leader of Team Cha-Cha along with actor Cody Linley and singer Lance Bass, while ex-football star Warren Sapp led Team Paso Doble with TV personality Brooke Burke and Olympic gold medalist Maurice Greene. Team Cha-Cha’s “brutal” performance scored 20, while Team Paso Doble received a 29 from judges and were requested to perform again their dance on Wednesday.
The list of other celebs who got the boot for failing to impress on the dance floor includes actress Cloris Leachman, singer Toni Braxton, chef Rocco DiSpirito, reality TV star Kim Kardashian, actor Ted McGinley and comedian Jeffrey Ross.
