Just in case you were wondering how much did Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes spend on their daughter's second birthday party, know that they didn't refrain from anything they thought their little princess might enjoy.
After seeing pictures taken from above of Suri's bash on April 18, reports emerged online detailing the expenses which summed up at around $100,000.
According to an insider quoted by In Touch magazine, "absolutely no expense was spared to make Suri's birthday the best day of her life..." that she will most likely never remember.
Tom stocked their mansion with "more than $17,000 worth of fresh flowers," while the 24 guests were spoiled with
"Italian-wedding flavored" cakes and muffins, which cost over $5,000, all in the spirit of Suri's main obsession: butterflies.
"Suri adores butterflies. It was immediate family and their closest friends only. There were no celebrities invited to the daytime bash," said the source.
"They're very specific about what they like," the New York Daily News quoted baker to the stars Jane Lockhart, whose Sweet Lady Jane Bakery in West Hollywood made the cakes, as saying.
"They wanted [Suri's] cake to look simple and childlike so they designed it themselves, which was kind of interesting. They brought in photos they had seen of butterflies and other cakes."
The short guest list included Cruise's parents, his ex-wife Nicole Kidman and their kids, Isabella, 15, and 13-year-old Connor.
While the daytime party resumed only to close friends and family, the Cruises invited for later that night, A-list guests such as David and Victoria Beckham, Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith, Eva Longoria Parker and Jim Carrey.
"The catering bill for the two parties cost Cruise more than $45,000," the insider said. "It was a great party," said one of those who attended. "Suri was in a really great mood and loved having all the balloons around."
