It appears that what made Kazakh model Ruslana Korshunova commit suicide was the way she felt recently, being confused about her life and feeling lonely. The model, which made the cover of Elle France, has jumped from her ninth floor apartment located in New York City Saturday night without leaving any note explaining what she did.
Police officers that investigated the case said that the apartment presented no signs of fighting, and that the protective netting around the balcony had been deliberately ripped. Based on these statements and on the medical examination of the body, officials have ruled that Korshunova committed suicide.
According to her ex-boyfriend, with whom she spent the last evening of her life watching the movie “Ghost,” the Kazakh beauty was having difficulties coping with problems in her personal life and with the very demanding work schedule.
What is more, the model experienced some strange abdominal pain during the last few days, which haven’t been explained so far.
Her mother said that she was taken by surprise by her daughter committing suicide, and said that she didn’t know that Korshunova had been depressed lately. She said that the model went through tough times before, but she used to tell people that were close to her what her problems were.
Korshunova had been discovered by modeling agent Debbie Jones, and it was soon after this event that she appeared in the British Vogue magazine. She modeled for fashion designing companies like Christian Dior, DKNY, Moschino or Vera Wang.
