When Apple has just announced the schedule for its upcoming WWDC event, one question popped out almost immediately: would Steve Jobs attend at this event?
As you might already know, Apple said that the WWDC would be held from June 8 to June 12 at Moscone Center, West, San Francisco. But as usual they were very secretive about they would have to announce at this event.
However, as usual, the rumors have already to float around and there are already speculations on what Apple would introduce at this event. While the highlights of the show are expected to be Mac OS X and the iPhone 3.0, everyone is trying to guess if Steve Jobs will take the center stage for the keynote.
Earlier this year, Steve Jobs has put an end to the speculations about his medical state, by admitting that he has some health issues and transferring his day- to-day duties to Chief Operating Officer (COO) Tim Cook.
He announced his decision in a short statement in which he noted that his health problems are related to “a hormone imbalance.” Steve Jobs said also that he will be back in late June, but so far no other update was made regarding his health status.
However, he could use WWDC event to return to his daily duties at Apple and to invigorate the love from Apple fans.Though there are also rumors that he could make an appearance at WWDC just to announce his retirement from Apple, which will open again the debate on who is capable to take his place.
The guys from Silicon Alley Insider have asked directly Apple about this matter and the response was short and somehow inconclusive: "As you know, Steve is on a medical leave of absence and there is nothing further to say."
However, there is a whole month until June, so they have a plenty of time to announce whether Jobs would or no present at WWDC.
