"Crosby, Stills And Nash" star and singer Stephen Stills, who underwent surgery for prostate cancer on January 3, "couldn’t be better," his wife Kristen said in a statement released Thursday.
The musician, who is set to attend the Sundance Film Festival in Utah later this month for the world premiere of "CSNY/Déjà vu," which documents the band’s 2006 "Freedom of Speech tour," was diagnosed with prostate cancer late last year, his bandmate Graham Nash, revealed his condition in a December interview.
"Stephen's procedure went remarkably well and he couldn't be better. He will be home by noon (Friday), and the pain will be minimal," the statement said.
Besides the Sundance Festival, the guitarist is also scheduled to begin a North American solo tour this spring in support of his recently released "Just Roll Tape" album on Rhino Records.
Stills, who turned 63 on Thursday, is the only artist to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame two times on the same night.
