It seems like Sylvester Stallone is ready to surprise us
with just one more sequel. After Rocky and Rambo, Stallone reportedly signed a contract
to make a new movie based on his 90’s success, Cliffhanger.
While there were some speculations that Stallone could bring
back Cobra, it seems like the start decided to impersonate again his
Cliffhanger’s character, Gabe Walker.
According to the media reports, the new movies will be
called The Dam and so far is unclear how it will be related to the original
Cliffhanger.
In the original movie, Gabe Walker, a mountain climber and
rescue worker, was fighting against a band of thieves, who are trying to recover
three cases with $100 million lost in the mountains.
As for the current “Rambo,” written and directed by Stallone
who also stars as the heroic Vietnam War veteran John Rambo, the Lionsgate release
made $18.2 million in its opening weekend and earned an estimated $25 million
in its first 10 days of release.
After the release of the movie Stallone disclosed in an
interview with Reuters that he is also considering a “Rambo 5.”
“It will depend on the success of this one, but right now I
think I'm gearing one up. It will be quite different. We'll do something a
little darker and a little more unexpected.”
