Last week seemed to be a slow week in a slow year for music industry. Comparing to the same period of the last year, album sales are down to 20%.
In a week when no single album sold more than 80,000 Bruce Springsteen’s “Magic” dethroned Kid Rock’s “Rock N Roll Jesus” on Billboard 200 on Wednesday, by just 243 copies.
Although The Boss's 15th studio album sold 42% fewer albums this week than the previous week, but the roughly 77,000 copies that flew off the shelves were still enough to be best in the country.
“Magic” and “Jesus” are followed in this Billboard pop Charts by “Still Feels Good “of Rascal Flatts on No.3 sold in a number of 70,000 copies; “Noël “of Josh Groban on No. 4 with 64,000 copies; “Chase the Light”of Jimmy Eat World on No.5 with 62,000 copies; “ Reba Duets”of Reba McEntire on No.6 with 59,000 copies; “ High School Musical 2” of Disney’s on No.7 with 57,000; "Ultimate Santana" by Santana bowed at No.8 with 56,000 copies ; “Graduation”of Kanye West on No. 9 with 54,000 copies and at last “Coco”of Colbie Caillat on No. 10 with only 50,000.
