Fading from the public eye for years at a time, Bruce Springsteen
always has remarkable and memorable comebacks, just to let everyone
know that he is there, ready to jump to the number one spot again.
One of his most recent publicity stunts are closely linked to
Halloween. Basically, Bruce Springsteen posted a song on his website.
The song is called “A Night With the Jersey Devil”, another testimony
of his undying love and dedication to his home state.
Bruce Springsteen, born in 1949, is one of America’s most famous and popular songwriter, singer and guitarist, earning his spot in American pop-culture. He has so far won an Academy Award and a whopping 18 Grammy Awards.
His two most famous albums are “Born to Run” and “Born in the U.S.A.”, and he has sold over 65 million albums in the U.S.A., the grand total worldwide reaching 120 million.
He is also known for his progressive politics and his humanitarian-oriented actions, which include relief and rebuilding efforts, centered on – but not limited to – the New Jersey area and an album dedicated to the tragedy of the attacks on September 11, 2001. He sometimes goes by the initially hated nickname “The Boss”.
The song is free to download and was written especially for Halloween and evokes New Jersey Halloween traditions. In the words of Springsteen himself, “if you grew up in central or south Jersey, you grew up with the ‘Jersey Devil’. Here’s a little musical Halloween treat. Have fun!” The website also has a video of Springsteen impersonating the Jersey Devil.
Well...you heard the man! Dig in!
