This week, the game developer Electronic Arts confirmed that the popular franchise Spore would get itself a new version for the Wii gaming console. As Spore gained an unparalleled popularity among users, both casual and core gamers, it seems that this is very good news for the gaming world but an extra reason for Sony and Microsoft to be worried for their market share.
According to the little details provided by Electronic Arts about the new game, it seems that the Wii adaptation of the game will have a different approach compared with the releases for Mac and PC.
Therefore, the Spore action game developed by Maxis will focus more on the motion sensor capabilities of the WiiMote and is expected to deliver a much livelier and more dynamic experience for the end users. The Spore Hero for Wii is expected to hit the stores some time in fall of 2009 at a similar price with its PC and Mac siblings.
It seems that EA is really focusing on the Spore franchise, as the giant video game manufacturer announced that it is working on a new Spore-related title, which is called Spore Creature Keeper. As the name suggests, the game is aimed at casual gamers, who will be able to create, raise and train their creatures and thereafter, go online and fight with other users’ creatures. However, Electronic Arts has not yet announced when the commercial release date is scheduled.
