Britney Spears and
Kevin Federline have finally reached agreement over custody of their two
children. The deal says that Kevin will get full custody over the children and
a hefty sum of money as alimony, while Britney will get more visitation rights
starting right away, with the possibility of being able to spend an increased
period of time with them in the future.
It was last year that
Federline won temporary custody over Sean Preston and Jayden James, after Britney
spears got more and more involved in scandals, all leading to the pop star
checking into a hospital for psychiatric treatment.
During that period, it
became a custom for the pop star to miss court proceedings in favor of spending
time shopping in malls. However, Britney changed her attitude recently and
showed more and more interest in getting custody of her children, while at the
same time displaying a more mature attitude.
Unfortunately, her
former behavior would have most probably led to her losing the full custody of
Sean and Jayden in spite of the changes that took place in the star’s life.
While no official
details about the deal were announced it is rumored that Federline will get
$20,000 a month in child support from Britney, an increase of $5000 from the
previous sum.
Kevin is not the only
one to get some financial benefit of the deal. His attorney, Mark Vincent
Kaplan will also be paid $250,000 for his work on the case.
What Britney Spears
will get out of the deal will be 2 days a week of visiting her kids, one being
overnight. Later this year, the pop star will most probably gain the right for
another overnight.
