Sony Combines PC and HD-TV In All-In-One VAIO LT HD

Meet VAIO LT HD PC/TV, your ultimate entertainment center, just unveiled by Sony. Featuring a floating glass design the latest system from Somy is delivered with a 22-inch diagonal WSXGA+ widescreen display, powered by XBRITE-HiColor LCD technology, ideal for photos or HD content.

But this is not the only feature that will make you buy a VAIO LT  HD PC/TV. The hardware configuration is based on an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, it has 2GB of RAM and a discrete graphics card, which makes it ideal for running even graphics-intensive games.

Sony also designed its system for tidy interiors and you can position it virtually anywhere in your home without worrying about messy network cables because it incorporates built-in wireless 802.11n LAN technology. A wire organizing tab on the back of the chassis ensures that wires are discreetly routed, while ample ports are conveniently located on the sides.

The model features a built-in 1.3 megapixel camera and an echo-cancelling microphone for crystal-clear video messaging.

Wired connections are further minimized with the included fold-up wireless keyboard, mouse and remote control. And you will have a lot of reasons to use the remote control as the LT HD PC/TV can be used for television viewing. An A/V power button lets you shut down the TV function, while your PC continues to run in the background. This lets you quickly turn the TV off and on without waiting for the PC to shut down or boot up.

But let’s talk about its HD functions. The high-definition version features a Blu-Ray Disc optical drive so you can enjoy high-definition movies, as well as record, store and play back personal content on high-capacity BD media.

Sony offers its VAIO LT in two versions: the LT standard model will start at about $1,900, while the LT HD model with a Blu-ray Disc optical drive will go for around $2,900. The system will go on sale in October.
